Natural Fiber and Textile Arts “Retreat”

400 Saco Road, extension of Rt. 22 (1.5 mi north of Bonny Eagle HS), Standish ME 04084

Learn to work with wool fiber and create beautiful colors through hand dyeing with natural materials. Instruction and practice will be relaxed and informal, and a light gourmet luncheon will be provided. Treat yourself (and a lucky friend !) to a day of textile arts. NO prior experience needed. You will have an opportunity to try your choice of:

spinning
bead knitting
fimo sculpture
hand spinning
weaving
natural dyeing
color blending

Fee:  $65 per day.  Due upon Registration.

Includes instruction, hands-on learning, and a delicious gourmet lunch. Some classes require an additional materials cost, payable directly to the instructor.

A portion of our proceeds go to the Guatemala Education Fund, in support of the children of Maya weavers and crafts people.

Shearbrooke Farm

Shearbrooke Farm is a working farm with 80 acres of meadows, woods and pasture. We have a horse, rabbits, chickens, ducks, a cat, 2 dogs, 2 llamas, and lots of sheep.
